Our second Bettering Boilers student group, Meah LaBarbera, Kelsi Bade, Jade Latham, Bailey Dolega, and Lillian Myrick, completed their project with a unique idea to sell paper airplanes at the January 17th boys basketball game. Participants had to opportunity to "make a basket" and win some Bettering Boilers gear and a prize basket. The baskets used for the contest were our shopping baskets from the food pantry. The fundraiser was a success, raising enough money to provide 10 meals to our BBCHS students. We are grateful for your creativity and commitment to serving others.

Our Bettering Boilers student groups have worked hard to collect food for the holidays! Dashia Gay, Cameron Gross, Zuri Bond, Evan Sangster, and Lohita Gampala received a monetary donation from our community in November. They used this donation as well as a donation from Jewel to put together holiday-themed food bags for our pantry users right before Thanksgiving break. The giving continued during December Christmas, this group collected hot chocolate from the 'giving tree' to add to the holiday bags. We are proud of this group for their commitment to serving others.

The Bettering Boilers received a generous donation for our food pantry from Mike Murphy and the team at Let’s Ketchup! Their donation included snacks, cereal, and chips, which will help us sustain the pantry and provide snacks and breakfast to our students! We are extremely grateful for your support!
